![]() Given Stahelski's track record with the John Wick series, which is getting a fourth film next year, we have no reason to doubt his capabilities. If nothing else, Stahelski seems adamant about making it happen. Make no mistake, we're not saying that Ghost of Tsushima will enjoy as much critical acclaim, but we wouldn't count it out either. It would be awesome to see the live-action Ghost of Tsushima movie premiere in the same year or even month as Ghost of Tsushima 2. It led the way at the 92nd Academy Awards with four wins: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, and Best International Feature Film. Case in point, 2019's Parasite, a film shown entirely in subtitles in countries all over the world. Stahelski admitted that even though his plan may scare the s out of most people, he has received a green signal from Sony, and also added that western audiences have been well habituated with such works and are familiar with. ![]() While Stahelski's desire is a cause for concern, it's not necessarily a bad thing either. In a recent interview with Collider, Stahelski substantiated that his movie adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima will be a complete Japanese cast, in Japanese. ![]() Speaking to Collider's Steve Weintraub, Stahelski revealed that he wants to do a film that's "all in character." Stahelski then explained why he thinks this is a good idea, saying "It's a Japanese thing about the Mongols invading Tsushima island. Having said that, the John Wick director shared something interesting about the incoming live-action adaptation of the open-world samurai game.
